Hand screenprinted graphic print in a variety of lovely velvety colours. The imagery is inspired by folk art cut paper decoupages, and my haiku reflects this, playing with the notion of cut flowers and the joy of summer.

The paper is acid free hand made Somerset paper for its durability and beautiful texture, with lightfast acrylic printing inks for their vibrant, velvety colours. A screenprint is created by pushing coloured ink through a screen. The screen is a finely woven polyester mesh stretched over a frame which supports a stencil. The stencil has been created using a UV light sensitive emulsion exposed to a hand cut paper positive which recreates the image as a stencil on the screen.
