  • Establish initiatives, partnerships and collaborations that lead to the creation of new and exciting work.
  • Foster emerging talent and encourage innovation.

We are working towards this by:

  • To increase the market for innovative designer/makers from the North of England.
  • To raise aspiration, reach and profitability for Northern designer/makers working towards a greater economic stability for the sector and the organisation.
  • To support and promote innovation and fresh work within the sector via the commissioning of new work and the establishment of innovative opportunities, collaborations and partnerships.
  • To share learning in an open, collaborative network of designer makers.

We work with designers and makers in a variety of ways, managing commissions, partnerships and the creation of bespoke products. Commissions can be created on a large scale for public places as well as more personal commissions for domestic spaces.
